Pieces at different stages of creation that I am currently working on.

Work in Progress

MOLLY

To that First Last One

To that First Last One is a solo that explores the gradual deconstruction of a sensual identity through movement, text and light. The piece creates a meditative atmosphere through the use of semi-darkness, repetitive movements and body states. It invites the viewer to question the notion of identity as well as the idea of the in-between through a recorded and live narrative.

Lures

Lures is a quartet made up of two performers, a visual artist and a live musician. This project began in October 2024 during a three-day residency at Atelier Gallerie 2112, Montreal.

The piece takes place in a gallery with white walls, ideal for visual projection. I want to explore the role of the body and movement in a non-traditional context. Drawing on family archives, contrasted with live video, I want to create an immersive universe through projection and video capture. This will allow me to blend past and present, while playing on the audience's perceptions.

The central theme revolves around the hunting and fishing sport, integrating images, costumes, objects and actions, with each collaborator playing an essential role in the collective dynamic.

Lures is part of a wider reflection on how to engage the public in creative spaces that are outside of traditional formats such as the black box. How can we enable an audience to feel comfortable moving around the performance playing field?
Furthermore, I'm asking myself to what extent, in this project, is the body at the service of the digital, or is it rather the digital that serves the body?
